Wedding Reception Favors Need To Welcome Your Guests

Wedding reception favors say so much to your guests. It takes months to plan everything for your wedding and then finally it is time and you get married. This is when the fun will really begin.

The wedding reception favors will be waiting on each table inviting your guest to join you having fun. It is very important that you choose the wedding favors carefully. They don't need to cost a lot of money but they do need to welcome your guest.

The wedding is very important when you get married but to every couple the wedding reception is just as important. This is when the bride and groom get to share their special occasion with their friends and family. They also get to share their joy of getting married. The first gesture for every married couple at the reception is the wedding reception favors. So they should convey a special message to your guests. It doesn't matter if the wedding favors are small, large, expensive or thrifty. The wedding favors need to tell your guests that you want them to join the fun and that you are glad they are there to share your special day with you.

The best wedding reception favor should be something that is personal. It should reflect something about the bride and groom and their relationship. Symbols of love are wedding favors that you see used quite often because of this reason. Some cheap favors for your wedding reception that you can use would be heart shaped boxes, candies, ribbons or confetti.

The secret to choosing the right wedding reception favors is to go with something simple. This means that you can get them for cheap. When your guests arrive at your reception the arrangement of the table setting needs to be as welcoming as the wedding favors are. The reason for this is because with the correct table setting even the cheapest wedding favors can be highly effective if you have arranged them thoughtfully. Some examples you can use are pretty stationary and wild flowers. You don't need the more expensive gift to have a beautiful wedding reception favor.

Brides all over the world will spend hours poring over the bridal magazines. When you look at these magazines you will see many beautiful table setting examples. The best thing about these is that they were not expensive to set up but they were set up with care and creativity.

So make sure that you welcome your wedding guests by finding the perfect wedding reception favors that convey the happiness of your special day. You want to arrange the wedding favors with care so that your guests feel welcome when they arrive.

Every wedding is special to the bride and groom but with the right wedding favors you will make it even more special. So be sure you take your time and find exactly what you want.

Look No Further: Find Unique Wedding Gift Ideas On The Net!

By Cherri Sheldon

In this day and age, there’s no such thing as not being able to find something. There’s nothing you can’t find in that veritable and seemingly infinite minefield of information known as the Internet. Furthermore, you don’t have to jump through hoops or pay a big price just to get information because it’s a very easy resource to use, and one that never seems to fail. So if you’re looking unique wedding gift ideas, you know exactly where to go.

A Hop, Search, and A Skip

The first place you should go to when looking for unique wedding gift ideas on the Internet, or the Net, as it is most commonly known as, is the search engine. Google, Yahoo!, Excite, and MSN are only some of the most famous and most frequently used search engines on the Net today.

To utilize a search engine, it’s just a matter of typing in a keyword or phrase of what you’re looking for and clicking the search button. You simply have to indicate that you’re searching for unique wedding gift ideas, and in a matter of minutes, you’ll find hundreds upon hundreds of websites that you can use as reference.

Often, search results organize the websites by page rank, meaning the most frequently visited websites are at the top of list and so forth. While you’re likely to get ideas from the websites at the top, going through the other not so frequently visited websites will probably give you more unique wedding gift ideas.

Interact to Better Act

Search engines often yield results that will lead you to merchant websites offering unique wedding gift ideas. In more specialized searches, however, you’ll be led to weblogs, or blogs and forums where you can find more personal unique wedding gift ideas.

Blogs are generally created and written by ordinary people, so you know that most of them don’t have any profit agenda in mind, but rather a genuine desire to share their unique wedding gift ideas. Some may even go as far as to share do-it-yourself tips and advice on making ordinary gifts more special.

Like blogs, forums are also frequented by ordinary consumers. A forum is a good way to interact with other people and share unique wedding gift ideas. Forums are often conversational and casual. It can be likened to a discussion among friends, only online. In forums, you can give opinions and advice, and even cultivate real friendships.

There Are No Limits

Indeed, the sky’s the limit when looking for unique wedding gift ideas on the Net. Whether you spend hours on it or spend a few minutes searching for unique wedding gift ideas, you won’t leave empty handed.

So when you walk into a wedding reception with a beautiful gift that you know the newlyweds can definitely appreciate, you’ll know the time you spent on the Net is time well spent. And you’ll never have to rack your brains for unique wedding gift ideas ever again. You just have to type and go.

Toronto Wedding Consultant Idea

By Rafi Michael

A wedding is the most important event in a human being's life. It is the one time where you vow to yourself to commit to be loyal to one person for the rest of your life, to spend every moment with that special someone for eternity. A moment so special, that it requires months to plan a wedding. Other important moments in a couple's life would be to buy their first home together, and you would solicit the aid of an expert to help you with that, a real estate agent, so why would you even consider not getting a professional wedding planner to assist you in planning your wedding.

Organize, organize, organize. Choosing a wedding planner is about the only way you'll be able to keep track of all the itty bitty particulars that come with any wedding. Here are a few ways you can organize yourself throughout the wedding planning process.

Will give you all the information on items you need to cover within the weddings, items like, wedding limousines, how many to get, what types and where to find them. There is the wedding dj; you will need to know the type of music they play and make sure it is compatible with what tradition your wedding is. Also, there is the banquet hall and what size hall, and in terms of location where exactly do you want to have your wedding reception. With so many banquet halls, it is important to decide on location, location, location.

After that, there is the decision of the wedding cakes, again, where to go buy the cake from, what type of cake and what style, that is a very important decision so choosing the right focus piece is very important. There are wedding invitations, what style you want, you can choose simple print shops that are capable of creating a wedding invitation or you can have your wedding planner know of any boutique style shops that specialize in special designs to suit your taste and interests. Finally there are the wedding dress, bride maids' dresses and tuxedos for the groom and his best man and ushers.

All these things are so important when planning a wedding. Unfortunately there is not a one-stop shop for all your wedding needs, you will be able to have the dream wedding that you so desperately want to seek when you have dreamed of all your life. With the help, everyone will be happy, you, your family, and all your guests will remember your wedding for years to come because you planned the wedding properly and you planned the wedding with style!

Another fancy word for wedding planner has boasted the best to make your wedding night happen. A Toronto wedding consultant is perfect to plan your wedding, be it if you have the wedding in Toronto, Richmond Hill, Mississauga, Brampton, Niagara Falls, Hamilton, Burlington, North York, Scarborough, East York, Etobicoke, Vaughn, Woodbridge, and Oakville. A wedding planner single responsibility to make sure that all facets of the wedding are accounted for and that you can focus on taking care of the rest.

Wedding Anniversary Gifts Straight From The Head

By John Smith

It’s nice to have a set of guidelines detailing the substance you’re expected to base your anniversary present on as each year of wedded bliss passes. But let’s be honest; it doesn’t exactly show off your wisdom, imagination or wit, does it? And who really wants tin or fruit off everyone, or indeed ivory off anyone? Let’s get personal about proceedings!

There’s someone in every family who has learnt the anniversary gift protocol down to the letter. No sooner have you mentioned that it’s Ken and Mary’s 27th than they have retorted with the word “ketchup” without skipping a beat. You stare at the ground, wondering what on earth you could buy that both celebrates their partnership and satisfies these rigid rules – and who on earth compiled this list of seemingly random materials in the first place …

Yes, some of the items have a certain pragmatic grace or glamour to them. Paper, for all its low-budget connotations, can actually be the backbone of all manner of exciting gifts, from books, albums and cards to travel and entertainment tickets, pictures and humorous calendars. And as time goes by, the silver, gold, pearl, ruby and diamond gifts will certainly be appreciated. But the in-between years always seem a little arbitrary, like the guesses in some game of Animal, Vegetable, Mineral.

Except perhaps in the round-number years, this anniversary gift etiquette is not followed all that rigidly beyond a hardcore group of dedicated sticklers. Most of us are happy to give some flowers, a bottle of wine or something sweet. The trouble is, none of these gifts has “anniversary” written all over it. They don’t exactly celebrate the milestone of staving off divorce for yet another year, do they? But with a little research, you’ll find a special gift that the couple will just love.

The trick is to get inside the minds of the couple and to find out what they have in common. They have presumably got something in common or they wouldn’t have tied the knot in the first place (unless they have taken the theory that opposites attract to its ultimate conclusion, in which case you can buy them almost anything and at least one of them will find it attractive).

To get inside their minds, get inside their household. Any excuse will do: borrowing a drill; catching up on old times; cadging a cup of sugar (not recommended if you live more than 50 miles away). Once you’re over the threshold, start to snoop. Take in the sights, sounds and smells that greet you and in the first few seconds you’ll be able to tell if they are art or music lovers, boozers, travellers, house-proud types, collectors or simply people who don’t take themselves too seriously. Soon your head will be full of present ideas, and then it’s just a simple case of getting on the internet and matching your new-found knowledge with the bountiful selection of anniversary gifts on offer.

You can still opt to obey the traditional wedding anniversary gift protocols – but by focusing on the couple rather than the material, you’ll automatically put your imagination into gear and choose something really special.

Wedding Themes For The Seriously Alternative

By Sarah McCormack

Do you want a big White Wedding? Filled with lots of flowers and traditional touches? Then look away now while we go on a tour of the alternative side of wedding themes.

Here are my top 7 eccentric wedding themes that are becoming more and more commonplace:

1. Fairytale Weddings

Although this theme can be done to different degrees (as can most) the more extreme end of the spectrum often includes Disney princesses (such as Cinderella or Snow White) or characters. However an equally amazing way to do this theme is to have a medieval fairytale with damsels and princes.

Very effective and you aren’t stuck to one particular ‘image’, as can often be the case with going with a more Disney theme. If you don’t want to take it to an extreme consider just using hints of a fairytale theme using the centrepieces, wedding favours and colour themes.

2. Wild West

Yeehaw! The biggest appeal of this theme is the great choice and colours of the outfits. There can be Stetsons for the Cowboys, feather headdresses for the Indians and the brightly coloured bodices for the ladies. Not only that but this theme easily translates into a complete theme including music, drinks and the decorations.

3. Beach Theme

Whack on the hoola skirts and the flower garlands and enjoy this laid back theme. If you do intend to hold this kind of wedding in the UK its worth considering your timing carefully, a frostbitten bride rarely looks the part.

If you do decide on a summery beach theme then it is a great and easy theme. Often you can contribute greatly by making centrepieces yourself, rather than being forced to buy in expensive things. The buffet food and fun games can help make a budget wedding very memorable.

4. Superheroes

Yes, it’s unusual but you will almost definitely be the only person you know with this particular theme. It’s fun, unconventional and really gets the creative juices flowing. There are a thousand choices of goodies or baddies, cartoon or comic and old or new.

And, if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, you can make up your own character, complete with costume and special powers. Or, if costumes are taking it a bit far then just spice up your centrepieces, wedding favours, invites and even food with the superhero theme.

5. Places of the World

Pick your favourite city or country and make it into a theme! Go all out with a classic Japanese theme using ornate silk dresses and paper lanterns. Or go old style New York with Gangsters and Molls for a classic slice of Americana. An Indian theme wedding is a great and colourful affair, sidestepping all those boring, predictable outfits people usually wear to weddings.

6. Holiday Wedding

Use a theme such as Christmas or Halloween with an appropriate timing. Christmas themes bring out all the good will of the season and winter weddings allow glorious dark colours that would look too dark in a summer/spring wedding. Halloween weddings can be lots of fun, especially with kids involved, using spooky party favours, centrepieces and even, themed food!

Finally, for the ultimate clichéd alternative wedding....

7. Star Trek

If you want to go for ultimate geek accessory nothing does it better than a Star Trek wedding. Now all you have to do is convince your significant other....

So branch out, get alternative and get thinking! You don’t have to be part of the same old same old, you can be the one and only.

7 Key Skills to Becoming a Successful Wedding Planner

Becoming a wedding planner involves more than just planning a wedding. You must understand the business aspect of your service and learn to manage your time to earn the most profits. You will be the face of your business and your own public relations representative. Every day you will have the opportunity to build -- or damage -- your reputation as a businessperson.

As your business and your expertise grow, you will probably begin planning multiple weddings at once. It is essential that you strive to provide the best, personalized attention to each couple when planning their big day, without losing your sanity.

The 7 Key Skills

No one said that becoming a wedding planner was a job for the faint of heart. Not everyone can succeed as a wedding consultant. A good wedding planner is:

- Calm. You will be the bride's (and the groom's!) rock. From miscommunications with vendors to major meltdowns at the ceremony, you must be able to keep your cool in the wake of a calamity. A wedding planner should always have a Plan B ready for action in case of an emergency.

- Charming. You are the face of your business and your clients' representative. Impeccable communication and social skills are imperative. Your reputation as a wedding consultant depends on your ability to network and maintain great working relationships with vendors and venues. Wedding planners must know how to communicate and work with all personality types. Not everyone you encounter will be pleasant and easy to please. You must be able to defuse any situation to get the results your client desires.

- A Great Negotiator. The bride and groom will be counting on you to order flowers, hire the band and photographer, recommend a caterer, and help find venues for the ceremony and reception. You must be able to find the best service for the lowest price. This becomes easier as you create a reputation for yourself and develop professional relationships with vendors and venues. Your connections will get you better deals, which you can pass on to your customers.

- Good with Money. Starting a wedding planner business requires that you be able to manage your own expenses and stick to a budget, as well as be responsible for someone else's money and budget. Previous experience with money management is vital -- even if your only experience consists of controlling the household finances.

- Organized. A wedding consultant might be responsible for almost every aspect of the big day: the venues, theme, flowers, food, refreshments, attire, photography, honeymoon, and other details of the wedding. Keeping track of all the nuances, contract dates, and deadlines requires an enormous amount of organization and attention to detail. Your calendar will be your new best friend.

- A Plethora of Knowledge. A good wedding planner has fashion sense, good taste in music, and an eye for color, flowers, and themes. You must be able to keep up with the latest bridal trends and fads, hot honeymoon destinations, and of course, traditional wedding etiquette. Many wedding consultants also learn about different religious ceremonies and traditions so that they can accommodate couples of any faith.

- Able to Maintain a Sense of Humor: From indecisive or emotional brides to controlling parents and absentee vendors, your work is cut out for you. When you are dealing in dreams, the ability to keep things in perspective is essential.

Beginning your own wedding planning business will be a learning experience. No one knows everything from day one, and as the old saying goes, practice makes perfect.

Sex and the City - The Wedding!

By Bridget Mora

Well, did they or didn't they? In case you have not seen the Sex and the City movie yet, I won't give away the details of Carrie and Mr. Big's wedding drama. Besides, what everyone really wants to know is, "What did Carrie wear?"! Fashionistas everywhere, especially brides-to-be, have been waiting for years to see what style icon Carrie Bradshaw would choose for a wedding gown.

As expected, Carrie's gown was high fashion, and over the top. Designed by the legendary Vivienne Westwood, the bridal gown worn by Sarah Jessica Parker's character was a one-of-a-kind fantasy dress. It was created from yards and yards of ivory and gold silk, and featured a strapless bodice with an exaggerated point design, and a billowing two tone skirt with pick ups. It is not a dress that most women could pull off, but then, no one ever accused Carrie Bradshaw of playing it safe when it came to fashion. The most daring part of the ensemble was the crazy blue feathers she wore in her hair. That was pushing it, even for Carrie!

So many women love the Sex and the City series, and for many of them it is because of the fifth main character - the fashion! The designer shoes, the exclusive handbags, and the couture dresses have delighted and inspired millions of women. Even if you can't afford the same labels that the Sex and the City women wear, you can still borrow their incredible style ideas. Brides, in particular, can get some great inspiration on how to bring a unique and fabulous flair to their own wedding.

Few brides have the budget or the chutzpah to wear a wedding gown exactly like Carrie Bradshaw's. However, you can use some of the same concepts in a slightly more traditional way. For instance, if you love the combination of the gold and ivory silk in her gown, choose an ivory strapless dress with a gold sash at the waist, or gold tails flowing down the back of the gown. Also, the pick ups on the skirt of Carrie's gown are are detail that is offered by quite a few designers in many price ranges. And don't worry about the blue hair feathers - those are best skipped altogether!

Another fun way to bring some of the look of Sex and the City to your wedding day is with accessories. Swarovski crystals were one of the favorite embellishments of the film's stylists. They were used everywhere, from Carrie's cell phone to Miranda's wedding hair clip. This is a great detail to pull from the movie into your own wedding; not only are Swarovski crystals dazzling, but unlike the Vivienne Westwood gown, they are also affordable.

To make yourself feel like a movie star, look at custom bridal Swarovski necklaces for your wedding jewelry. Having a piece that is handcrafted allows you to choose something that is totally unique. And the sparkle and pop of custom bridal Swarovksi necklaces make them perfect for any bride hoping to capture a little bit of Carrie's wedding style. For your other accessories, you will naturally want to focus on spectacular footwear and handbags. Even if your shoes do not have a red sole (as in Christian Louboutin, of course), they should definitely have the look and feel of luxury. Carrie would want you to have nothing less.

It is always fun to take concepts for your wedding from the fashion icons who inspire you. Women who are planning a wedding now are so lucky to have the unparalleled fashion of Sex and the City as a source for ideas. A little touch of Carrie Bradshaw mixed with a whole lot of your own personal style will surely result in an unforgettable wedding!

Bridget Mora 's articles help you make good choices in many areas of planning your wedding. Come see us at http://www.silverlandjewelry.com where you will find custom bridal Swarovski necklaces for the bride and bridesmaids.
