Rock N Roll Party Theme For Your Rockin' Wedding
Shelly is a rock and roll girl all the way. She hates dressing up, and hates the idea of wearing a fluffy white dress even more. Shelly is a girl with attitude, and she wanted to bring that to her wedding. Her soon to be husband, Greg, 25, was also a rocker and loved the idea of a rock 'n roll theme into their wedding. The first step, wedding invitations, and let me just say that their method was most original, guitar picks! Shelly and Greg decided 'what better way' than to personalize guitar picks with the guests name, and wedding details (shorthand of course) on the front.
What was their choice for the setup of their wedding? Well, Greg and Shelly decided they wanted to go as far outside of the norm as possible and actually rented out a bar where local bands performed. They knew this bar because they were frequent visitors too. Local bands continued to play straight through their wedding. The bar tables were used and stools at the bar itself were perfect for guests with the intention of some fun drinking (champagne was not an option for this couple).
As for wedding favors, Greg was a fan of poker, so packs of playing cards were perfect. Shelly stumbled across some candles in the shape of the suits of cards (heart, spade, club, and diamond) and used those as well. Shelly wanted to get a bit spunky with her choice of wedding favors, so she provided the guests with inflatable guitars, saxophones, and microphones. Not only could guests watch the bands perform, they could now pretend they were a part of the band.
Square plates in a black and white theme decorated the tables for when it was time to eat. A buffet dinner was perfect since elegant was not what our couple was going for - they definitely knew they wanted casual and fun. Guests helped themselves to an endless supply of burgers, chicken, fries, and more while continuing to rock out to the local bands performing. But the best was yet to come. The cake was the greatest idea for the whole wedding. A local baker designed a cake in the shape of a Les Paul guitar. It was almost too realistic to eat! But guests got to bite down into a piece of music, and enjoy the whole theme.
So, got an itch to scratch or a wedding coming up? Not only does this theme fit nicely for a wedding, but it could also be used for a unique Sweet Sixteen (minus the alcohol of course), or any celebration for that matter. If elegant and fancy is not for you, you could always just take advice from our couple, and "rock out!"

Learn To Dance For Your Wedding Day
Author: Robert
All events that include dancing need professionals like spiceuptheparty.com to conduct the event in a professional manner and to see to it that there is enough guest participation. This is a company that specializes in training dancers and managing any dance performance. Weddings are dull and drab without dancing and it is essential that guests, family members, and couples are sufficiently trained to dance on the wedding day.
Since this is a very formal occasion, every step possible should be taken to ensure that the dance performance goes off smoothly while the couple maintains good dance form. Organizing a dance for a formal event like a wedding is easier said than done. First of all the perfect ambience for a graceful dance has to be created. This will inspire the guests to dance. The trick of turning a dance event into a memorable experience is to get the guests to dance voluntarily. They should feel a compelling urge to dance.
When they dance with passion, the event will be much more enjoyable to all. Wedding dance lessons are given by spiceuptheparty.com in the Naperville area to the couple to be married as well as to the guests (if desired). This is to make sure that nobody is left out when the music plays and to ensure enthusiastic and active participation from everyone. The dance will carry on in grand fashion if all participants are taught a bit of formal dance and the relevant dance steps are taught to them well in advance. The professionals who provide the dance instruction are well trained and are excellent in showmanship. They have in-depth knowledge of the music that will be played and they know the exact type of music that will inspire the guests who will be present at the wedding.
Disc jockeys who are usually hired for dance events like these are also knowledgeable in this regard. Dance lessons and brilliant choreographies are offered by this company exclusively meant for the newlywed couple who can be taught to dance like they have never danced before to keep the guests enthralled. The company will help the couple choose suitable music that they can dance to and teach them how to do their best. Once the bride and groom communicate their needs, a dance package will be chosen that will include the requisite number of lessons.
There are many wedding dance packages available and the cost will depend upon the type of dance and setup that the clients want. There are many types of dances like fox trot, latin, waltz, etc. There is also slow dancing which is easy for even the older guests. It is better to start the dance lessons as early as possible. This will help the couple get a good grasp of the dancing as well as the confidence needed to dance in public. If the couple would like to demonstrate extra special dance moves, swings and dips can be taught, all the while keeping the safety of the dancers in mind. Preparation, detailed instruction, and practice will insure that the couple getting married has the best possible wedding experience.

How To Hire A Variety Band For Your Wedding Reception.
Today’s entertainment needs require a variety of musical skills to fit the bill. No longer can any old band show up to perform at a wedding, reception, or corporate or variety event and expect to please the masses. In this age, the information age, and the age of the Internet, we have access to literally the entire world full of music.
What, then, should we expect from a musical performance to attempt to entertain such an enormous background of musical likes and dislikes? Well, if you are coordinating such an event, there are some questions you will want to ask yourself. Consider some of the following before interviewing any live music performers.
Firstly, the length of your reception will ultimately determine your musical choices. Live performers can only exert themselves for a maximum of around three to four hours or so before their performance declines distinctly (notice the lengths of most concerts). Good vocalists know this, and offer their services accordingly. If the event you are coordinating lasts much longer than that, you may consider more than one live act, or simply go with a DJ. Well trained professionals can also stretch this time by taking breaks or even rotating vocalists.
Next, let’s consider the age group attending your event. In most situations, there are a variety of ages attending, necessitating a variety band. The range of ages will also be closely related to what era of music with which people will strongly associate. Currently, for most variety events, music from the 60’s through the 90’s is usually most recognized and most appealing. Music from the 50’s or earlier is usually only appealing to a small portion of seniors (or true music nostalgia lovers!), and music popularized within the last decade is also only associated to by the 20 or 30-something’s or younger in bulk, although these are not hard and fast rules. Very popular old and new songs can be especially entertaining if they are associated with modern media: movies, popular TV shows and advertisements.
Now you’ll also want to keep in mind the mood you intend to set for your special occasion. In most cases, the mood will be anywhere from delighted and energetic to relaxed and content. To span the whole range you must consider a variety band. To specialize in mood and crowd control, you will want to interview groups to find those that can produce the results. For example at a wedding reception, you would want a variety band who can warm up the group after the meal (if there is one), provide a 1st dance – more of a romantic mood, keep the group energized until the appropriate hour, at which time they can wind down the music to the more mellow, ‘time to go home’ music.
Lastly, consider if you have speeches, announcements, raffles or other prizes to broadcast. Organizers often forget this minor detail, but it can be an important one, as you will want your variety band to have enough equipment that you can quickly and easily access a spare microphone (as well as their sound system) to take care of business.
Whatever your event, interview carefully and go with ‘your gut’. Keep in mind it is not as important as you might think to see a group live. Ironically the same characteristics that make a band a good bar-band are also what make a poor event variety-band. Bar bands are often young, charismatic, frequently egocentric and tend to play whatever THEY want. The professional variety band will be a well-oiled business focused on you and your guests. Don’t be afraid to ask the pertinent questions and spend time covering the details of your event. The true professional will leave very little for you to manage, freeing you to focus on other details.

Wedding Planning - Selecting Your Music
Yes, love songs are to be expected, but they should also be limited. Playing ten love songs back to back can get very tiresome. And no one wants to slow dance for ten consecutive songs, except maybe the love birds. But remember, not everyone that is celebrating your wedding with you is in a relationship. A good idea would be to mix things up a bit. If you'd like to play a lot of romance songs, doing them back to back wouldn't be the best idea. Perhaps playing a love song, and then something different in between would be a better idea. The top most played love songs at weddings include, "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith, "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston, and "Your Song" by Elton John. These songs tend to sum up quite a lot of emotions that couples may not be able to vocalize themselves. Which is why for the first dance these songs, and songs similar, are ideal, but for other parts of the wedding these songs are best to be avoided.
Parts of a wedding where music is to be expected can be broken down into groups. We start off with the ceremony, where the traditional songs can be played. After that music begins to be more of a challenge as we enter into the celebration. There should be different music for the bride's dance with her father, the groom's dance with his mother, the first dance (which was previously touched upon), the garter and bouquet toss, the cutting of the cake, background music for dinner, music for the celebration, and finally music for the last dance. For the mother dance and the father dance, similar music can actually be used. Both dances are thanking the parents; therefore the music should be thanking the parents as well. Music for the celebration should be a wide variety, since your guests will also be all ages and have very many different music variations that they like. These songs can be anything from an Abba song, to a Justin Timberlake song, or even if you want a song from Queen. More of a laid back song can be used when cutting the cake or a funny song that plays with the idea such as "Cut The Cake" by Average White Band can be used. And how amusing would it be to have the song "Wild Thing" by Tone Loc plays as the groom strips off the garter. The bouquet toss can take on a different approach. An amusing song such as "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper can play, or a softer song may be selected.
As the celebration comes to an end, a song for the last dance should be played as well. The guests are leaving, and the couple will be beginning a new life together. A song for goodbye to the guests, but hello to a new life would be a perfect song. "Last Dance" by Donna Summer would be a good song for this. But overall just remember to play music that you like, because in the end this is your day, and you'll remember every piece of it. Remember it with good background music!

Jazz Wedding Music, Perfect for Every Wedding Day Event
Whether a bride wants to walk down the aisle to a touching melody or dance to a swinging tune, jazz musicians can deliver both and more.
“Jazz musicians are unique because they can adapt jazz music to every wedding ceremony, wedding reception, cocktail hour, luncheon, dinner and more,” Chandler Judkins, owner of Las Vegas Wedding Music in Las Vegas, said. “This also saves money for couples because they can use the same band throughout the day so they don’t have to hire other musicians for different aspects such as a string quartet for the ceremony. The jazz musicians can do the wedding ceremony too.”
Las Vegas Wedding Music is the number one music contracting company in Las Vegas and their jazz music package is one of their least expensive.
Ceremony:
String quartets are the number one requested music group for weddings and especially wedding ceremonies, according to Judkins. However, Judkins believes that a jazz quartet can perform just as beautifully for a wedding ceremony and can add an extra dimension because of the variety of instruments to choose from.
“A string quartet will have the same instruments forever, two violins, a viola and a cello,” Judkins said. “But jazz quartets can be varied with a trumpet or a saxophone or even a flute or clarinet.”
Receptions
Jazz bands can have as little as three musicians and go up to a 17 piece big band.
No matter the size though, jazz bands can be flexible to what a bride and groom want for the reception music and their first dance whether it be swing music or a romantic song.
“Las Vegas Wedding Music makes a point to publish a song list on our Web site so couples can see the wide variety that our wedding musicians can play,” Judkins said. “If a couple requests a song, that is never a problem as long as we know ahead of time.”
Judkins went on to say, “It’s harder for string quartets and other music combinations to play such a variety. Requests are harder to accept, and dance music is harder to come by.”
Cocktail Hour
Another feature of a jazz band or jazz quartet is that a singer can be added easily and usually at a minimal cost.
“Las Vegas Wedding Music has singers on hand at all times ready to be added to any jazz band, big or small,” Judkins said. “Our wedding singers are the best in Las Vegas too.”
Luncheons or Dinners
Jazz musicians are amazing featured performers, but they are also amazing in the background. When playing for wedding luncheons or dinners, Las Vegas Wedding Music’s jazz musicians play loud enough to be heard but soft enough so that conversation can continue without straining.
“Any horns have mutes on them and all Las Vegas Wedding Music’s musicians have experience in playing softly, but with quality,” Judkins said.
No matter your wedding event, whether it be a wedding ceremony, wedding reception, cocktail hour, luncheon or dinner, jazz music is no doubt an amazing choice for brides and grooms.

Wedding Music
It’s the happiest day of your life. The ceremony, the wedding breakfast and the best man’s speech have come and gone. There’s so much to look forward to and so much expense for the happy couple. Once all of the formalities are put it bed it just remains for the party to get into full swing and as far as many of the guests are concerned, this is the most important part of the day.
The first dance is usually the signal for the evening’s revelry to get underway. Hopefully the bride and groom have managed to agree on a suitable piece of music and haven’t spent the last 6 months arguing about whether she looks “Wonderful tonight” or if they “Have all the time in the World”. It’s an important selection for anyone who loves their music although this author has been present at one wedding where 10cc’s “I’m not in love” has been played for the first dance! Is it just me?
The Bride and Groom have suitably impressed the room with their ability to tread on each other’s toes in time to the music and it’s now the turn of the rest of the party to join them on the dance floor.
Having a DJ who reads the audience and doesn’t just play what he or she wishes to hear is so important. Anyone can play CDs but it takes a professional to read the audience and keep the dance floor full and dancing. A DJ who specialises in dance floor clearance services is of no help to anyone. It just may be that the Birdie song really is the right song for the evening!
Usually it’s a case of providing something for everyone and just accepting that your latest obscure obsession with Latvian Folk music really isn’t going to get people dancing. Yes it is your party but you may find there’s only one person left on the dance floor.
A great idea to get everyone involved is to ask everyone to write down 3 song requests when they return the wedding invites. These can be compiled into a list and will give the DJ a feel for the audience in advance. Of course not all selections will be played but it can be helpful.
Entertainment agents such as Mattenta Entertainments can provide you with a selection of high quality DJs and bands that can read your audience and make the appropriate choices for the evening. Agents will usually only deal with high quality acts and will also provide the security of a written contract.
The main thing is to relax and let your hair down! Enjoy your evening!

Wedding Band, Information and History Of Wedding Bands
by: www.kaisilver.com
History and Meaning Of Wedding Bands:The wedding band has been worn as a symbol of marriage for many centuries. Few people know that it was not always a silver or gold wedding band that was worn, the earliest wedding bands were made of the stem from a plant. The Egyptians are credited with creating and wearing the first wedding band and this was cut out from the stem of a plant. The circular shape of the Eyptian wedding band was supposed to represent, never ending love. The Romans gave the same meaning to their wedding bands, but gave it to their lady with the aim of staking their 'claim' or 'ownership' to her. Wedding bands gained popularity in ancient Asia too and in the Middle East, puzzle ring wedding bands were worn by ladies to prove faithfulness to their husband. A puzzle wedding band is actually made up of many rings that, when worn correctly fit together to form a band ring. A lady who wore a wedding band showed to the world, that she was married and would be faithful to her husband. If she ever took the ring off her finger, it would be very difficult for her to get the puzzle rings correctly together again and the husband would know that his wife had been unfaithful. In colonial America, jewelry was considered to have no moral value and was largely prohibited. Ladies wore thimbles as engagement or promise rings, after marriage the bottom portion of the thimble was taken off leaving just the top portion on the finger. This looked quite like a wedding band and the tradition carried on for many years.
Marriage is a solemn commitment between two individuals to stay together in good times and bad. The wedding band has gradually evolved from the original plant stem and people today wear wedding bands made from precious metals like gold, silver and platinum. Extravagant wedding bands studded with precious gemstones and diamonds are now quite common. You could wear a simple wedding band made from gold or silver or go for a stunning diamond set wedding band, but the meaning and significance of your wedding band will remain the same. It requires an earnest commitment from the husband and wife to make a marriage work and the relationhip flourish, a wedding band is a symbol of marriage and just one part of the institution of marriage.Wedding Band, Gold Options:
The gold option for wedding bands would include the consideration of 14k or 18k gold for your wedding band. Another aspect would be the selection of yellow or white gold for the ring and also include the option for a two tone wedding band that combines white and yellow gold in the same ring. The main difference between 14k and 18k gold is the gold content in the two, 14k gold has around 58% pure gold and 42% of an alloy of other metals. 18K gold has 75% of pure gold and 25% of other metal alloys. From this comparison it would appear that, 18k gold with a higher content of pure gold would always be better for making jewelry. However the important fact is that 14k gold is much harder than 18k gold and hardness is important in many jewels. For example, in the case of men's wedding bands or large rings and even wedding bands with many gemstones or diamonds, good hardness is required to make the wedding band sturdy and also keep the gemstones and diamonds firmly mounted. The choice of a 14k wedding band or an 18k wedding band would depend on the size of the ring, the frequency with which the wedding band would be worn, the number of gems and diamonds in the ring and also the conditions in which the ring would be worn. The choice of a white gold wedding band or a wedding band in yellow gold would largely depend on personal likes and dislikes. Both yellow and white gold wedding bands will have the same degree of hardness. There is one important consideration when choosing the gold color for your wedding band, a dark colored gemstone would appear even darker when set in white gold. This is because of the stark color contrast between the white gold and the dark colored gemstone.
The two tone wedding band offers an interesting option especially in cases where plain wedding bands are made without gemstones or diamonds. You can choose to have a white gold wedding band with only the edges made in yellow gold or vice versa. Even simple diamond wedding bands can be made with the two tone gold option to add a touch of elegance to the ring.Choosing The Finishing For Your Wedding Band:
The finishing of wedding bands can change the overall look and feel of your ring. There are three main types of finishing used in rings. The first type is the high polish finish which is also the most common. The second type is a dull or brushed finish that is produced by a process referred to as 'sand blasting'. White gold wedding bands with diamonds are quite often made with the dull finish, as this gives the ring a sophisticated and expensive look. It is also possible to combine finish types in the same wedding band. For example, a two tone wedding band could have the entire ring in a dull finish leaving just the edges with a high polish look. The third type of finish is not very common and provides a hammered look to the wedding band. The outside of the ring is created with an uneven surface and is more suited for a man wedding band.Gemstone Wedding Bands:
Wedding bands with gemstones are getting to be quite popular and the design selections are huge. However, you need to select the right type of gemstone depending on the design of your wedding band. A large gemstone wedding band will make it necessary to create a large band width for the ring and this might not be to your liking. You can also increase the meaning and significance of a wedding band by setting a birthstone in the ring. Some gemstones need special care when jewelry is worn or stored so make sure that your jeweller keeps you well informed. You can check your birthstone from our detailed birthstone charts at this link www.kaisilver.com/birth-chart-stone.htm. Another important thing about a gem stone wedding band is the way the gem stone is set in the ring. Prong type of settings tend to stick in pockets and other places, this causes the gemstone to loosen as the prongs gradually open up. Thin prongs can also poke or scratch delicate skin. A good option for setting the gemstone in your gem stone wedding band is to border the entire gemstone with gold. If the design of your wedding band requires the gem stone to be set using prongs, ensure that the prongs are sturdy and do not include any sharp edges.Diamond Wedding Band:
Wedding bands with diamonds can be made with a diamond as the main stone of the ring or with diamonds as the side stones. Diamonds are quite expensive especially in larger sizes and this causes the price tag of a diamond wedding band to be quite stiff. There is one important aspect that you should know before buying diamond wedding bands and that is about the appearance of the diamonds. Cheap quality diamonds are available but look awful, these diamonds will be opaque and have a powdery look. When you think of a diamond wedding band you will imagine the glitter and glamour of diamonds on your finger, so make sure that the diamonds in the ring will look gorgeous at least to the naked eye. Such diamonds will not be the best quality but a wedding band with these would look awesome and yet not cost you a fortune. Most jewellers will not want to tell you this as, all they wait want is to push the best diamond at a massive price and reap huge profit margins from a single sale! Diamond wedding bands are generally made in white gold and combined with a dull finish look simply stunning.Round diamonds are the most common shape and wedding bands with round diamonds are therefore very popular. Next is the square or princess cut diamond that is a good choice for a diamond wedding band. Fancy shaped diamonds include heart shape diamonds, pear shaped diamonds and even trillion shaped diamonds. A wedding band with a fancy shape diamond would carry a premium price tag as fancy shaped diamonds are quite rare and therefore quite expensive.
Most diamonds that we talk of are white diamonds which are actually colorless. You will however notice that quite a few diamond wedding bands have diamonds that are yellow, blue, green or a few other colors. For colored diamonds you have two options, the first option is to use natural colored diamonds which are terribly expensive. The next option is more affordable as, white diamonds are treated to enhance and change color and then available as colored diamonds. You should remember that a diamond that is color enhanced has the same hardness as compared to a naturally white diamond. Colored diamonds are a good choice for wedding bands where diamonds are used as side stones to add accent to the center gem stone. For example, a blue sapphire wedding band could have a prominent blue sapphire in the center with small blue diamonds on either side.Wedding Band Pair:
Since marriage is a commitment of two individuals staying together for the rest of their lives, a pair of wedding bands symbolises the feeling of togetherness and unity. A wedding band pair is basically two wedding bands with a similar design, one for the bride and the other for the bridegroom. The difference between the rings could be just the size of the wedding band or a difference in gemstones set in the pair of wedding bands. In general, it is expected that, the men's wedding band would have a slightly wider band width as compared to the wedding band worn by the lady. In cases where a wedding band pair is made with birthstones, each ring could have the birthstone of the person wearing the ring. It is now becoming a popular trend to wear wedding band pairs where, the husband and wife exchange their birthstone in each others rings. These rings can be worn as white gold wedding band pairs or as as a pair of wedding bands in yellow gold.Wedding Bands and Long Term Durability:
This is perhaps the most important issue concerning wedding bands, it is also the issue that is down played the most by sellers and jewellers. As a symbol of life long commitment for two individuals to live together forever, a wedding band should be strong and long lasting. This would mean that wedding bands would be made with good gold weight, good design and gemstones that are durable and well mounted. As expected, buyers are impressed by the design of wedding bands and the price tag! Sellers are aware of this and flood markets with merchandise that is light and flimsy and bearing a 'friendly' price tag. The main point to understand is that these low priced wedding bands are cheap only in the short term. In the long run, you will end up paying expensive repairs and modification costs and this will add up to the final cost of owning the wedding band. In some cases, low gold weight could also mean badly mounted gemstones and diamonds, this could result in the stones dropping off! For stones like diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds and even tanzanite, the cost of gemstone could easily exceed the value of the gold in your wedding band. Replacing such a stone would burn ! a deep hole in your wallet.Custom Wedding Band:
It is not very difficult to find readymade wedding bands as most jewellers would stock a selection of these rings. However, given the meaning and significance of a wedding band, most buyers would like to have a wedding band that is personalized to their liking and preference. You might come across a wedding band with a stunning design, but the gemstone might not be what you wanted. The gemstone that you prefer may be set in a wedding band that has a lousy design! A custom wedding band can be made with a design of your choice and include the gemstone or diamond that you need. The gold color, ring size, finish type can all be handled as you please. Another important thing to note is that, most readymade wedding bands would be made with the intention of attracting mass markets. This also means that they will compromise on gold weight and also gemstone quality inorder to keep the price tag attractive. For a ring that is as important as a wedding band, you will be better off ordering a custom wedding band where you are not expected to compromise on anything. You can find a complete report on wedding bands at this link: http://www.weddingband.kaijewels.com/wedding-band-information-kj-01.htm you will also see good examples of how wedding bands should be.
Will be back with more interesting information regarding gemstones and jewelry. Thanks and God Bless.

Wedding Bands: The Perfect Fit
by: Amy Lee Johnson
The wedding band is perhaps the most important piece of jewelry worn in life. Symbolic of the bride and groom’s commitment to each other, wedding bands are exchanged as part of the marriage ceremony witnessed by family and friends. Unlike other pieces of jewelry, wedding bands are worn every moment of every day. Therefore, it is essential that a wedding band is comfortable and compatible with a couple’s sense of style. The bride and groom-to-be should spend time viewing and researching band styles and materials prior to making a final decision. By browsing jewelry stores and Internet sites, couples can gain a sense of their likes and dislikes.
Wedding Band Materials
Wedding bands are traditionally made of gold, white gold or platinum. If a couple chooses gold bands, they should select 14k or 18k gold for sufficient quality and durability. Another less expensive choice for men’s bands is titanium. Bands may be embellished with special finishes or engraved patterns to reflect individual tastes. Diamonds or other precious stones may also be incorporated into the design.Matching Bands
Many couples wish to have matching wedding bands to symbolize their union. Engaged pairs may purchase matching “his and hers” rings, or create a matching custom design for both bands. If a couple cannot agree on a shared band design, they may consider rings that are coordinated rather than matching. For example, bands might be made of the same material, share a similar style (e.g. vintage, classic, modern), engraved pattern, or include the same stones without being identical. If the bride and groom prefer different metals (gold vs. platinum), they may choose to create a ring that incorporates both colors.Personalized Messages of Love
Many couples choose to engrave a meaningful sentiment or their wedding date on the inside of their wedding bands. This option can “unite” the rings, even if the pair did not choose matching rings. Engraving is offered at most jewelry stores for a small fee. However, if the couple wishes to personalize their rings with an engraving they should allow sufficient time to ensure the rings are ready in advance of the ceremony.About The Author

Choosing Your Wedding Music
Music is something that is a key element in any good wedding. Deciding what type of music you’d like to play is one of the trickier aspects of planning a wedding. Not only do you have to find music that you like, you also have to choose music that the guests would enjoy. Playing nothing but sappy love songs for hours on end will not only bore the guests, but overdo the whole celebration. So, what type of music should be played at a successful wedding? Variety!
If you’d like to play a lot of romance songs, doing them back to back wouldn’t be the best idea. Perhaps playing a love song, and then something different in between would be a better idea. The top most played love songs at weddings include, “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” by Aerosmith, “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston, and “Your Song” by Elton John.
There should be different music for the bride’s dance with her father, the groom’s dance with his mother, the first dance (which was previously touched upon), the garter and bouquet toss, the cutting of the cake, background music for dinner, music for the celebration, and finally music for the last dance.
More of a laid back song can be used when cutting the cake or a funny song that plays with the idea such as “Cut The Cake” by Average White Band can be used. And how amusing would it be to have the song “Wild Thing” by Tone Loc plays as the groom strips off the garter. The bouquet toss can take on a different approach. An amusing song such as “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper can play, or a softer song may be selected.
As the celebration comes to an end, a song for the last dance should be played as well. The guests are leaving, and the couple will be beginning a new life together. A song for goodbye to the guests, but hello to a new life would be a perfect song. “Last Dance” by Donna Summer would be a good song for this. But overall just remember to play music that you like, because in the end this is your day, and you’ll remember every piece of it. Remember it with good background music!
