The Photographer At The Wedding Was Fantastic!

by

The photographer wedding professional makes a wedding come alive after the day is all over. All brides want each element of their wedding to come together without a hitch to create the moment of a lifetime. Out of all the professionals used to make a wedding possible, photographer wedding professionals are the ones whose work will last the longest. The photographer is the one who makes everyone look good, from the bride and the groom right down to the last flower on the wedding cake. When it comes to choosing artistic wedding photography, it is important to choose a professional who has the skill and experience to make your wedding album the best it can be.

A good photographer wedding professional will strive to be unobtrusive. We have all been to weddings at which the photographer usurped the wedding coordinator, bending the entire proceedings to his or her will with more focus on the shot list than the natural flow of the wedding. This experience is one of the chief reasons that many couples are turning to photojournalistic wedding photography, which allows the proceedings to unfold naturally with no interference.

However, the true photographer wedding professional will be reasonably unobtrusive no matter what style of photography you choose. It is true that if you want posed photographs, time will need to be dedicated to taking those photos. This is true even if the bulk of your shots consist of photojournalistic or artistic wedding photography. During the ceremony and reception, though, even the traditional photographer should be careful to minimize his or her intrusion.

The wedding photographer should work in tandem with the videographer if one is present. There is no place for egos or lack of professionalism at your wedding, so be certain that your photographer is aware in advance that you have hired a videographer and that he or she is ready to work as a team.

Your photographer wedding professional should arrive on time and dressed appropriately to the ceremony. This is a very important topic that many engaged couples fail to consider. What style will your ceremony be? Do you have a theme? Is it a period wedding? How formal are the proceedings? Your professional wedding photographer should be willing to dress to blend in with your choices.

The wedding photographer can truly make or break your day through his or her professionalism or lack thereof. He or she should be courteous and respectful of the other professionals who are also working to make your day special. Your wedding professionals are a team and no one part of the team is more important than another. When interviewing professional wedding photographers, be sure to look for a true team spirit rather than someone who looks down his or her nose at everyone else.

Your wedding day is truly one of the most important days of your life, and your photographer will create your lasting memories. Choose a photographer wedding professional who is committed to working as part of the team and going the extra mile to make you happy. The rewards will be great. The options are many and the bottom line is that the day and events photographed are entirely up to you and your personal style.

Digital Wedding Photography - The Pros & Cons!

 by

Choosing a wedding photographer is difficult under normal circumstances, but when you throw digital wedding photography into the mix, the choice of which type of photography is best can become even harder. There is a division among professional wedding photographers. Some think that traditional film photography has more warmth, while those that use digital photography feel it is as versatile as film. With the popularity of digital cameras, it's only natural that a couple would think that the most recent technology would make for the best pictures. This might not always be the case. So, how do you choose?

Only recently has digital photography begun to gain some recognition. Early digital cameras had many limitations that left the photos looking mechanical and cold. Today's cameras have come a long way to correct these flaws and offer professional wedding photographers yet another tool to work with. Digital wedding photography is well on its way to coming into its own.

For many situations, digital cameras offer a number of significant advantages. A digital camera provides immediate feedback to the photographer. This enables him or her to risk tricky or difficult shots, knowing that if anything needs to be corrected it can be. This is especially important for photojournalistic wedding photography, in which many of the shots will be taken in ambient light conditions. A related benefit is the ability to take a greater number of shots. The photographer can shoot as many pictures as time and memory card will allow, without worrying about the cost of film.

Another major advantage of digital wedding photography is that all of the settings are internal. Rather than having to interrupt the proceedings to change film speeds or simply change out a film roll, the photographer can make changes quickly and easily.

Most couples today want their photos in a digital format as well as an album. While film photos can be scanned, moving digital photos around electronically is less labor intensive and therefore less expensive. In addition, digital photos can be easily manipulated if the couple wants copies of certain photos in black and white or sepia tones, for example.

The major drawback to digital wedding photography at this time is that many wedding photographers are not yet completely familiar with the new style. Digital photography is in many ways a completely different animal than film photography, and some very talented professional wedding photographers are simply not at their best with digital photography. When interviewing possible digital wedding photographers, be sure that you ask how long the photographer has been using this style. Also ask to see copies of both his film work and his digital work for comparison purposes.

Digital wedding photography is here to stay. As time goes on, advances made with the technology will only serve to improve the quality of the photos. Already, many digital cameras have the ability to use different types of lenses and other accessories that previously were only available for traditional 35mm cameras. The choice you make will largely depend on your personal style and the look you are trying to create for your wedding album. Shop around, and compare photo albums from as many different photographers as you can find. Professional wedding photographers can have the best equipment in the world, but that still will not make up for a lack of knowledge. Whether it's digital or film, the photographer has to have the experience and skill to make your pictures shine. If you like a specific photographer's work, that photographer is the one for you.

Tips for Unique Cake Toppers

 by Jerry Leung

As we all know, the wedding cake is very important in a way that it should be the focus of the wedding. You will certainly want to make your wedding cake unique and special. In order to make your wedding cake even more special, you will need a unique cake topper.

In fact, people will start about your cake topper when they arrive, provided it is a really unique one. Nowadays, there are various choices when it comes to the notion of unique cake topper. These various options are produced to meet your special need and taste. Of course they are also designed to meet your budget! You may even try to order a custom made topper if you wish.

In the past, the cake toppers are usually standing figures of bride and groom with very formal wedding dresses on. This is very traditional and a lot of couple will not be satisfied with such old fashioned products. Couples today are catering for something more special and interesting.

So what do couples choose nowadays? You will probably ask this question if you are also planning for a wedding now. As mentioned, couples nowadays will choose more unique cake toppers. For example, if you are having a beach wedding and you will be wearing casual wears in the event, the cake topper can be design in a way that it matches this. Figures sitting on sand with their casual wears on can be perfect.

If you do not want to use the figures as your cake toppers, there are also other options for you. Taking the example of beach wedding again, it can be things such as seashells. No matter what kind of design you are going to choose, the rule of thumb is that it will be perfect and excellent if it can match the theme of your wedding. You are trying to make everything follow your theme right? So you should not forget your wedding cake topper.

As mentioned above, the wedding cake is the focus of the wedding. And the topper is indeed the focus of the cake. A really unique cake topper can attract the attention of your guests. They may start talking with you about it.

It will become something that triggers your conversations with your guests. If you are trying to escape from all the old fashioned and traditional options, such a unique wedding cake topper is certainly for you!

Consider An Authentic Costa Rica Wedding

By Jim Kesel

If you are planning a wedding in Costa Rica you may want to opt for an authentic ceremony using Costa Rica wedding customs.

The main goal of having a foreign destination wedding after all, is to do away with the ordinary and traditional and to settle with only the unique and the exceptional. Having a genuine Costa Rican wedding is not that difficult to achieve. You will find that there are just a few Costa Rica wedding customs to include in your plans.

Many weddings in Costa Rica involve a beautiful beach ceremony. This country is renowned for its sublime beaches the world over, and most couples would like to indulge in this luxury while exchanging vows. In the olden past, Costa Rican brides would wear a black silk dress and a lace veil and for the grooms, a shirt that is hand embroidered by his beloved bride. These days however, a white sundress is a more typical and fitting bridal wear, and a formal wedding shirt and pants for the groom’s outfit.

Of course, you may choose a more modern wedding ceremony which can be modified to meet your plans. Some brides prefer to wear long gowns and elaborate veils even during a seaside wedding. In addition some couples would prefer a more formal arrangement even while doing an outdoor wedding. But for most couples, a Costa Rican wedding involves the sun, the sand, and the warmth of family and friends. The bride frequently wears a simple yet elegant sundress, and holds a bouquet of exotic blooms all throughout the ceremony, as the beautiful sunset lends a romantic glow to the event.

Costa Rica is basically a country that is torn between the old, time-honored traditions and the advent of the new and modern ways. Much of the people however, remains conservative at heart and still upholds traditionalist values. Costa Ricans are a family oriented people who love gatherings and festivities. The family members of a Costa Rican are almost always present in the most significant occasions of his life, and wedding celebrations are no exception.

Present family members and relatives of both the bride and groom during the wedding is a typical set-up in Costa Rican marriages. The more guests, the better blessed the couple will be. Your guests will find that an inexpensive Costa Rica vacation is a great way to attend your wedding. Also, one of the most significant Costa Rica wedding customs would be the late night partying complete with Spanish-Latin music accompaniment and plentiful servings of food for the guests. Live music may also include some forties style beats and reggae tunes.

Costa Ricans prefer to have an abundance of food selections served to the guests like meat, salads, and other authentic dishes like the gallo pinto. Because of the large number of guests, it is a part of the genuine Costa Rica wedding customs for food and refreshments to be readily available. Barbeques on open hot coals are also ideal for a beach wedding reception, where the guests’ tables are set up on the sand, and the natural sea breeze providing natural ventilation. And because Costa Ricans love to party well into the night, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks should be on hand too. All these make a Costa Rican wedding truly extraordinary.

So when planning your Costa Rican wedding you may want to add local customs to make your wedding ceremony unique. Memories of your wedding will be enhanced by the beautiful location and special customs found only in Costa Rica.

Top Five Ideas For A Wedding Centrepiece

By Sarah McCormack

Most centrepieces are mostly, if not entirely, comprised of traditional flowers. Many people however, make the mistake of regarding flower centrepieces as the only option. Instead why not go for something a little more inventive and unique.

There are thousands of potentially amazing centrepieces out there, and here are my top 5 show stopping centrepieces.

5. Water:

Water adds an elemental, fluid, feeling to the table. It has connotations with new life and the cleansing of the body from sin. Marriage is the beginning of a new life so they merge perfectly. Water works well when combined with flowers (particularly submerged gerbera I find), with floating candles or with a waterfall type effect.

4. Candles:

Candles are deeply symbolic, connected with the idea of the light and warmth of love. They add a certain intimacy and conjure the idea of romance. Fire also has connotations with purification and new life, perfect for a wedding as you begin your new lives together.

It is practical for the candle to be covered (particularly if there are children at the wedding), perhaps in a stylish votive holder or be original with an old fashioned style lantern.

3. Crystals:

Crystals have links with good luck and healing so are a good omen at a wedding. More than that they provide an interesting and different centrepiece which encourages people to touch and interact with it. Weddings with a lot of children are a great chance to use crystals, children love them and can often be encouraged to sit playing quietly (well....quieter) during speeches and toasts.

2. Themed Centrepieces:

Themes don’t have to be all encompassing - little hints of a theme can work well without overloading the senses. Use an objective friend or a wedding planner to make sure you don’t get lost in the theme or it can end up looking massively overdone.

Examples of themes are:

Seasons – For Autumn using leaves and pine cones look great, especially with leaf shaped confetti scattered around the table. This looks great and is environmentally friendly. You can also ‘spice it up’ a little with glitter.

For winter, its pure whites teamed with clear crystals and icy tones. Lights and glitter really set off this look.

Cultural - Take inspiration from your own background. With an Irish background you may consider using elements such as greens shamrocks (a bit predictable but always festive), the heraldic harp, Celtic cross, Celtic love knot, and the Claddaugh.

Oriental style themes could use red and black colours (for luck), Shoji lanterns, black or white pebbles and, of course, chop sticks.

Beach theme- While it does sound rather tacky, this can be done in a variety of ways. The restrained way generally involves quite muted colours such as blues etc, pebbles or shells, sand and maybe even faux beach debris.

It all sounds a bit much but, when done well, can look amazing. Now, if you’re planning on a more outgoing take on the beach theme why not go all out with brightly coloured shells and maybe even a tiny fake palm tree or two.... tacky yes, but definitely different and memorable.

1.Photos:

Photos can be a great way to make everyone feel involved, particularly in smaller weddings. A place setting with a photo on (or a baby photo if you’re feeling cruel!) makes the extra effort.

A great idea is to leave disposable cameras on the tables and develop the pictures later. A variant on this is to get Polaroid cameras with somewhere to stick the resulting photos in the centre of the table. It’s great to get people chatting, particularly if respective families haven’t met before. It also leaves you with a great keepsake.

What’s important to remember is that these can all be combined in any number of variations. Photos obviously go great with anything (except water!) while candles add to any number of themes (especially Oriental). But the important thing is, when everyone is giving you ideas, take other peoples thoughts on board but ultimately be led by your own vision....and don’t be afraid to experiment!

Before The Wedding: Some Advice For The Groom

By Leslie Gerard

Most of the time when you come across articles on weddings, they are meant to be read by the bride. Even when the articles make an attempt at addressing both bride and groom, the real audience is fairly obvious, and it is not the man.

Now there are a couple of reasons for this. The first is the general cultural perception that grooms don't really care about the wedding. Speaking from personal experience and from observing most of my friends get married, I can say that this is far from the truth.

Another reason why not many wedding articles are written for the groom is that men just do not tend to look for advice, or listen to it when it is given. And they are far less likely to do so when the advice is in written form! Still, there are some things that a groom should think about as the big day approaches. On the off chance that some guy might read this, we are going to present the advice in point form, and there will be virtual beer and chips at the end.

* The stag party. A good rule of thumb here is that if she isn't going to do it for her party, don't do it for yours. You know what I am talking about here; strippers. Even is she says she doesn't mind odds are that she does a little bit. If she isn't going to see strippers, you shouldn't either.

* Planning. Your job is to be there during as much of the planning stage as you can. I don't think I have ever, in ten years of marriage, earned as many "marriage bonus points" as I did the day I met with my bride to be and her sisters and decorated our invitations. I am developmentally challenged in the scissors area and hate glitter, but a few hours of incompetence got me out of a lot of early trouble I am sure.

* Offering your opinion. Most of the time you really will agree with whatever she wants to do for the wedding. The trick is convincing her that you are telling the truth, and that you are listening. One good line, when you come under suspicion, is "I really do agree though. I think that is probably one of the reasons why we are so perfect for each other. We are on the same wave length most of the time!".

* Speak up. There will be times during the planning process where you might not agree with the direction things are taking. It's important to let her know what you really think; just try not to do it where it might seem as though you are "siding" with someone else. This is also good practice for after you tie the knot.

* The wedding day. A commercial for Moore's has said it better than anything I have ever thought of or heard. "On that special day, all eyes will be on her. But she will only be looking at you." Face it, you are the one about to make her dream come true. It's a pretty heavy responsibility but somewhere along the line you realized that she is worth it. Look at her and give her a smile that says you could not be happier.

A Caribbean Honeymoon To Petit St Vincent

By Gordon Steven

Don’t book a Caribbean Honeymoon without checking out Petit St Vincent in The Grenadines

A Caribbean Honeymoon to Petit St Vincent is well worth taking the trouble to research.

Petit St Vincent is a five star Caribbean resort which has 22 rooms, and is described in its own brochure as an exotic Cottage Resort on its own 113 acre island which is completely surrounded by two miles of white sand beaches and it places great emphasis on privacy. It is 40 miles south of St Vincent in the Grenadines.

Petit St Vincent is well away from the tourist mainstream

This all sounds perfect for a Caribbean Honeymoon Vacation, and certainly needs checking out.

The first thing to note is that petit St Vincent has no television, pool, or telephone, no airport, not even a formal check in, so what you are going to get is fabulous seclusion well away from the hustle and bustle of Caribbean life, and that above all should make it perfect for that Caribbean Honeymoon.

This is very much a lay back and relax sort of place, and the level of privacy works well.

Petit St Vincent has one almost unique feature which are the flags. If for example you want room service breakfast, you hoist a yellow flag, and you will get an extremely quick response by golf cart, or alternatively if you don’t wish your early morning Caribbean honeymoon to be disturbed you raise a red flag that says Do Not Disturb.

This being the case you are left in splendid peace in your great private luxurious stone cottage on the beach. In fact if you want to be a hermit during your time on petit St Vincent, you need never even see another guest thanks to the ability to order all your meals in your stone cottage. This would be a mistake because the resort has a beautiful bar and dining room

The cottages themselves are mostly just a few paces from the beach, both remote and secluded yet within easy and quick reach of the resort’s services. The cottages are built from native blue bitch stone which is quarried on the island itself, and the hardwood ceilings are peaked. The cottages are quite open to the elements with large French windows that are almost the whole width of the bedroom, and when open look out over the large sundeck to the beautiful azure sea beyond. Each cottage in addition to the sundeck has a living room, one or two bathrooms, and dressing room. The bathrooms are particularly nice with a shower, robes, fluffy towels and top class toiletries. In addition there are day beds for children if required, but probably not on a Caribbean Honeymoon!!

Petit St Vincent is one of the Leading Small Hotels of the World and well deserved this distinction, and there are many activities on the island to enjoy and these include snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing, and fishing, and you will find Hobie Cats, and Sunfish in the dock house at no extra cost. On land, there is plenty island to hike over, and there is a lovely floodlit tennis court.

PSV is the ideal place for a secluded, private hideaway sort of Caribbean Honeymoon Vacation, where the sun shines, and even the most cynical guest will find peace and contentment

Before The Wedding: Who Should You Listen To?

By Leslie Gerard

Every former bride or bride to be knows that there are an awful lot of people who want to put in their two cents about how the wedding day should go. Everything from the guest list to the venue to the order of the day will be up for input and you will be getting a lot of advice from a lot of different corners. So, how should you go about filtering the advice? Here are some ideas.

Yourself:

The wedding day is, in the end, for the bride. Most girls dream of their wedding day from the first time they go to a wedding as a guest, and many hope that they will only have one shot at making that dream a reality. It goes without saying that the most important opinion out there will be that of the bride. If you seem to be having trouble getting heard, it's time to speak a little it louder!

The groom:

Remember that although you might not always realize it, the wedding day is an important one for the groom too. Most guys just want the day to be all that their bride had hoped for, but most also have a few things that they would like to include. The trick is not pestering the groom about every detail, and at the same time really listening when he does speak up. Odds are that he wouldn't do so if it wasn't important.

Whoever is footing the bill:

Like it or not, the person paying for the wedding is entitled to some say in how the day proceeds. Most of the time this will be a parent or some combination of parents and the couple, so if you tend to see eye to eye you won't have a problem. If you don't, though, you may need to sit down before the wedding preparations begin and come to an understanding of just what the wedding day will entail.

The wedding planner:

One of the most valuable things about using a wedding planner is that he or she will have been through the whole process dozens or maybe even hundreds of different times before. It's pretty likely that a good wedding planner has seen it all in terms of what works and what does not for a wide variety of different styles, and it's also likely that he or she can read the way different couples will react to certain aspects of the wedding. This is one individual who has more experience than anyone else involved, and not taking his or her advice would be akin to ignoring a fireman at a five alarm.

That's a pretty basic list, and of course the people who you turn to for advice on your wedding day will vary for everyone. Some brides have an extremely good relationship with their mothers or even their future mother in laws, and their input can be highly valued. For those of you who receive too much advice, though, having a list of who to consult first will come in handy.

Wedding Planning & Wedding Ideas 101

By: Robert Reno

In recent years we have seen resurgence in the popularity of the traditional wedding style. Most couples, however, are not holding to the rigid structure of the past but are incorporating the best of the contemporary styles to reflect their own lifestyles and personalities.

Like every bride, you have a familiarity with wedding planning and an idea of what you want your own to be like. But how do you translate your knowledge of weddings into a workable plan? How do you utilize your time effectively? These are the key questions you need to keep in mind when searching for wedding ideas that guide you in planning the wedding of your dreams.

Wedding Planning

There is more to wedding planning than collecting something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue - although this wedding tradition could be a brides best first step in organization. Just keep in mind that articles that you read are meant to be resources for planning your wedding; and by getting some expert advice, you and your fiance will succeed in accomplishing each detail. In order to help with any wedding ideas you may be considering right now, we suggest the following steps:

1.) Take a few minutes to write down what your goals are for the wedding.

2.) Try to follow a wedding planning checklist and make note of the items that are appropriate for your wedding. Then incorporate these items into your calendar.

3.) Use wedding planning forms that help you stay on track with organizing the important details.

Wedding Ideas

Planning a Michigan wedding is often the first opportunity a bridal couple has to work together on a project. It offers an invaluable learning experience, one that will help in the adjustmental process once you are married. You may enlist family members and friends to help in the planning process. People usually feel honored when asked for assistance. For those who may be low on funds, it offers them an opportunity to give a gift of time and service.

Above all, remember not to allow any wedding ideas to overshadow you and your fiancs relationship. Nurturing this relationship now is vitally important to your future happiness. We highly recommend that you, as a couple, either participate in premarital counseling or attend a marriage preparation class (many churches, synagogues, and family counseling centers provide these services). No one wants to think their marriage will end in divorce, and by preparing in this way, you will lessen the probability of it happening to you.

If you feel divorce can be a "way out," then maybe you are not ready for marriage. More than anything else, a high level of commitment is the necessary ingredient in a successful marriage - and that commitment is to endure the bad times as well as the good.

Remember to set aside time before the wedding to become better acquainted with the parents of the one you love; without them, this wouldn't be happening!

Finally, do not take yourself of the wedding planning to seriously. Instead, take plenty of time to relax, to enjoy each other, and to grow in love!

Weddings: Billionaires Exercises of Excess?

By: Dorj Escusa

Mere mortals like us already consider hiring top-of-the-line New York limousine services for our wedding to be an expensive extravagance.

But when you are an oil magnate or the daughter of one of the worlds richest men, then you would not even think twice about hiring every company that offer prime limousine service in New York to ensure that all your wedding guests arrive to your wedding in style.

Consider the case of Vanisha Mittal and Amit Bhatia for example. When Mittal, daughter of the fifth richest man in the world married Bhatia in 2004, they had 20-page invitations encased in silver boxes made, flew in and housed 1,000 guests in a 5-star hotel in Paris, hired Kylie Minogue to perform at one of the many wedding parties they held and gave away jewel-filled bags as party favors. The wedding, which was held at the Palace of Versailles, is the worlds most expensive wedding and cost the brides father, Lakshmi Mittal, a staggering $60 million.

Ultra expensive weddings such as the Mittal-Bhatia nuptials seemed to be the norm among the richest of the rich. More and more of the worlds billionaires seem to be bent on throwing their children or themselves a celebration worthy of being mentioned not only in the New York Posts Page Six but the respected financial-magazine Forbes as well.

For his equally extravagant but less expensive wedding for example, Russian Andrei Melnichenko and his Yugoslavian beauty queen-wife Aleksandra Kokotovic had a chapel in Russia dismantled then shipped and rebuilt in France (or at least that was what the gossip mills said). And while Mittal had Kylie Minouge, Melnichenkos Cote de Azur-wedding featured performances from not one but two pop superstars: Christina Aguilera and Whitney Houston.

Such outrageous excessiveness is hard for us to fathom. We think about where the money could have been spent -- the $60 million the Mittals spent on their wedding could have bought years supply of lifesaving antiretroviral drugs for the sick or could have fed millions of needy individuals --and shudder. The rich, many of us think, just have way too much money for their own good.

But the truth is, when it comes to spending for our weddings, the only difference between the billionaires and ordinary couples is how much money they have at their disposal. As a survey conducted by a credit card company showed for example, two-thirds of American couples spent too much for their wedding. This implies that just like those in the uppermost tip of the earnings percentile, many of us would like to have handwritten invitations and pearl-encrusted gowns, we just cant afford them.

Choosing A Wedding Date

The most commonly asked question you will hear when your friends and family are informed of your engagement is "When is the wedding?" Choosing a wedding date is very important because almost all of your wedding planning details will revolve around the date that you choose. Here are some things to take into consideration to help you pick a perfect date for your wedding.

If you already know where you would like to have the ceremony and reception, you should call them and confirm what dates they have available. If you are set on a specific location, your wedding date will have to coincide with the availability of the location, especially if you have chosen a very popular location because these places tend to get booked very quickly.

Take into consideration what type of wedding you have in mind. For example, have you always dreamed of a beach wedding surrounded by the calming sounds of the ocean or a fall wedding with beautiful red and orange leaves in the background? You will have to choose a date that is appropriate in terms of temperature and seasons. In addition, if there is a particular style of dress that you have in mind, the time of year will influence your bridal attire choices.

Have you always wanted a wedding during a specific holiday such as Christmas? Christmas is a popular time because many wedding locations are already beautifully decorated at this time of year. However, getting ready for a wedding in addition to all the activities that occur during the Christmas holidays such as shopping, parties, wrapping gifts can be too much for some people.

Maybe you thought having a wedding during a holiday would be easier for your guests due to the three day weekend. Some people may appreciate that your wedding is during a long holiday weekend while it might be difficult for others because many people plan their own vacations during these times of the year.

Are there important people in your life that you feel must attend the wedding? While there will always be people who will not be able to make it, some people may be higher on your priority list than others. For example, if your maid of honor is giving birth the same month you choose to have your wedding, you may want to give her a little time after the birth to feel more comfortable in her bridesmaid dress. Or maybe your parents have a vacation already planned for the same time. Prevent scheduling conflicts as much as possible by discussing your wedding date with these important people to avoid any problems.

Wedding On A Budget

Traditionally, the bride's family paid for the costs of a wedding while the groom would incur the expense of the honeymoon. These days it is not uncommon to find many couples paying for their own wedding from their own funds. However, you don't have to spend a fortune or go into debt to have a beautiful wedding. Determine the amount of your budget and stick to it. Keep track of all your expenses and receipts in a folder or binder so that you can stay organized and accurately keep track of where your money is going. Here are some helpful tips to help you stay within your wedding budget.

Wedding Dress
• Avoid overly elaborate dresses because they will be more expensive.
• Choose a floor sample dress and just have it dry cleaned if necessary.
• Look for your dress during prom and homecoming or consider wearing a bridesmaid dress. You can find a beautiful white or cream colored dress during that would be perfect for a wedding at a fraction of the cost of a traditional wedding dress.
• Look at consignment shops and the classified ads. Wedding dresses are generally only worn once so you can get a gently used dress at a huge cost savings.

Reception
• Keep the number of guests down. You and the groom should look at the first draft of the guest list and carefully consider who can be taken off the list.
• Have a cash bar instead of an open bar. Or you can also just provide wine and beer to keep the costs down.
• Hold the ceremony and reception in the same location. You will be able to cut the cost of the location for the ceremony, decorations and transportation to the reception site.

Flowers
• Purchase your flowers wholesale and just pay for the labor of a professional florist to arrange them.
• Arrange the flowers yourself. A bouquet made of all roses with a little eucalyptus filler and tied with ribbon makes a stunning bouquet and you do not need to be a professional to put this together.

Photography
• Find a photographer with reasonable hourly rates and pay only for the time to do your formal poses. You can then designate friends or family to take the candid shots throughout the rest of the reception.
• Put disposable cameras at each table with a note asking guests to take pictures to help you capture memories.

Invitations
• Print your own invitations using your home computer. Visit your local arts and crafts store or search online and purchase a do-it-yourself invitation kit.

Miscellaneous
• Make your own wedding favors. Wrap up jordan almonds or other candies in lace and tie with ribbon pre-printed with your names and wedding date.
• Keep the number of chosen bridesmaids and groomsmen to a minimum or choose not to have them at all. This will keep the rehearsal dinner cost down as well as eliminate the need to buy groomsmen and bridesmaid gifts.

Honeymoon Without Breaking The Bank

By James Gunaseelan

With wedding costs skyrocketing, so many couples have to skip the honeymoon in favor of inviting 50 more guests or getting the designer dress of their dreams. While priorities vary for each couple, once the wedding day is over and done with, many newlyweds wished they had spent less time, effort and money on the D-day details and more on each other. A honeymoon is usually a week long and the memories you get to make while bonding with each other as man and wife far outweigh the lace on the placemats or the name of the band playing at the reception. Here are some tips on making sure you get o go on a great honeymoon.

Make a firm wedding budget and allot your desired amount for the honeymoon. Don’t let cake, flowers or bridesmaids gifts eat up any part of that budget. Don’t postpone the honeymoon saying that you’ll take it later; tomorrow never comes for honeymoons. Now is the time; later work, kids, family and everything piles up and the charm of a honeymoon at the right time fizzles out.

If airfare is eating up your entire budget, forget about Hawaii or Europe and save the flying time and airport hassles by going away some place local. Not only will you save big money, you won’t get lost as much, you’ll have a honeymoon memory you can visit again if you like and you can even come home early if the place doesn’t turn out to be as you expected.

The least expensive way of going on a honeymoon is to stay at someone’s house while they are away. Look into home exchanges where someone can stay at your place while you see a different locale. Similar to the Cameron Diaz- Kate Winslet movie, you might snag a great deal on seeing a new city without spending a dime on hotels.

If you can’t find a time share or other free accommodation, you can still have a great honeymoon by skipping the five star hotels and staying at a bed and breakfast instead. The rates are much lower, the policies less stringent and the innkeepers more friendly. There is no need for you to get souvenirs from your honeymoon for all your friends and family. Chances are you threw a great wedding and everyone got a favor; pick up a trinket or two for your new place together but leave it at that.

A Caribbean Honeymoon On A Small Island Off St. Vincent

By Gordon Steven

Why you should consider Young Island Resort off the coast of Saint Vincent as the destination for your Caribbean Honeymoon

A Caribbean Honeymoon spent on Young Island off the south coast of Saint Vincent could be just the little piece of heaven you are looking for.

Young Island resort comes heavily recommended by everyone who has stayed there because this is a resort where you will get top class service, fantastic food, a very good wine selection, and last but not least peace, quiet, and tranquility. Be warned this won’t be a Caribbean Honeymoon full of the nightly Jump Up, or even television in your room. Young Island resort is definitely not like that, but caters instead for honeymooners, and discerning guests.

For your Caribbean Honeymoon it is recommended that you have a cottage right on the beach, so that you can just walk out, go along a path and you hit the very nice fresh water swimming pool, which unusually for the Caribbean is open 24 hours a day every day.

The back door takes you across the patio and onto the beach, which is cleaned every morning, and so it is absolutely spotless. You can snorkel off the beach, having borrowed the gear from the man who looks after guests down there, probably best described as the beach attendant.

If you can book Cottage Number six which is a luxury cottage on the beach with a plunge pool, and behind the cottage hammocks and a gazebo.

One of the best things in an hotel on any holiday are waitress served meals, in other words non buffet. This always denotes a quality resort which Young Island certainly is, and this type of service should give the reader a big tip if they are thinking of making a booking on Young Island for their Caribbean Honeymoon. The food generally speaking is amazing, and you can expect a lot of beautiful seafood including freshly caught crab, lobster, scallops, as well as lamb, steak, poultry. Meals are taken in little thatched gazebos, and the view from the tables is incredible. The meals were described by someone recently as absolutely scrumptious, including and especially the home made yoghurts at breakfast

You may wish to be completely idle if this is where you are spending your Caribbean Honeymoon, but one bit of exercise you should take is to walk up to the top of the island. It may not be very energetic but the view is worth it, as is the walk along the beach at sunset and watch dusk at what is aptly called Sunset Point.

The staff at Young Island have ready smiles, and are friendly and very helpful.

The real beauty about Young Island resort is that it is small with not so many guests so you do tend to engage more people in conversation. This means you do meet some very interesting people, who are much like you because they too have chosen this superb Island resort.

Young Island is beautiful and the perfect spot for a Caribbean Honeymoon. There are masses of brightly coloured flowers which only adds to the romantic atmosphere.

Hawaii – The Perfect Honeymoon Destination

By Mark Scriven

Hawaii, with its magnificent blue sea, stunning beaches, and wild mountain scenery, is not surprisingly one of the world’s most popular honeymoon destinations. A Hawaiian honeymoon, at one of the hundreds of resorts, hotels and condos that cater especially for newlyweds, is the perfect way to create that special post wedding bond and provide special memories for years to come.

Set in romantic surroundings, there are properties in all price categories, from super luxury to budget. And should you decide to have the wedding in Hawaii as well, you can choose a wedding/honeymoon package that includes a chapel or beach service, a delicious wedding banquet complete with music, and honeymoon accommodation at the island destination of your choice.

But Hawaii weddings do not need to be lavish affairs and you may decide a simple civil ceremony in a romantic setting, say on a sandy beach or in a tropical garden. Then your honeymoon can be the focus of this happy time of your life.

The Princeville Resort, on Kauai, is an excellent luxury resort, or you might prefer the more intimate surroundings of a small condominium resort such as The Whalers Cove, in the Poipu area of Kauai, with its spacious units set on a secluded cove that is perfect for water sports such as snorkeling and diving. On the island of Maui, if you crave seclusion and luxury service, consider the smaller Hotel Hana Maui, with its plantation-style cottages complete with hot tubs. You can horseback ride along the Hana Coast, and relax afterward in their wonderful spa. Golfing honeymooners could try the Kapalua Resort on the West Coast of Maui, where three championship golf courses will satisfy the keenest golfers.

Couples looking for privacy should consider the secluded Four Seasons Lanai, at Manele Bay. Located right on the beach, on the pristine private island of Lanai, the resort borders a marine preserve, has exceptional ocean and coastline views, and offers an exclusive spa and fine dining. Less expensive accommodation options include The Outrigger Royal Kahana, with full kitchen facilities, at Kaanapali Beach on Maui, and the moderately priced and well located Miramar, sited just a few blocks from the beach at Waikiki, surrounded by shops and restaurants, with good public transportation.

A Hawaiian island honeymoon can be as diverse as your interests. You can spend a passionate time on a secluded beach, or experience the passion of shopping, dining and nightlife. The best time to visit Hawaii depends more on the location than any particular season. The leeward sides, the western and southern parts of the islands, have the calmest waters and the driest and sunniest conditions.

The rainy season is from November to April, although rainfall is common throughout the year. The winter months, December to February, are often a time of stormy weather, although rain usually falls in short spells during daytime. Peak travel seasons, when the hotel rates are higher, are between January and March, June and August, and during the Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays.

About the Author: Rod Ritchie, a travel writer and editor, writes for many publishers including AA Publishing and Fodors. Go America offer cheap flights to Hawaii plus great deals on Hawaii car hire and hotels.

Cheap Wedding Fun For Children

By Dee Power

Children at a wedding can be precious, precocious and sometimes a problem. Little ones bore easily and don't really understand the meaning of a wedding. Everybody is excited and dressed up and then just sit around watching the girls in the beautiful dresses and their handsome guys, well just stand there. At least that's the point of few from the child. Finding cheap wedding fun for the children can be a lifesaver.

Keeping kids occupied while the ceremony is going on and well behaved during the reception can be a problem. If the site where the wedding is to be held has a separate room close by in the same building, it can be turned into a nursery of sorts. Most wedding ceremonies take from 20 to 30 minutes but be prepared with activities for at least 60 minutes.

Children can color pictures of the bride and groom. Play pin the bouquet on the bride or boutonnière on the groom, or make wedding bouquets out of paper flowers. In expensive activity books for several age groups can be purchased and then divided up among the children.

If the facility allows it consider providing a snack and drinks. Ideas might include string cheese, children love it, precut apple slices, and boxed cereal. Keep drinks to juice boxes to cut down on spillage.

The children can be supervised by one adult and perhaps a preteen or two. If the wedding is held in a church, the church most likely has a nursery area which allows everything to be seen and heard.

One sweet way for children to commemorate a wedding is to give each of them a bag of rose petals and have them throw the petals in front of the bridal couple after the ceremony. No matter how hard a little boy might throw the petals they don't go very far. Or each child could be given a bottle of bubbles and bubble wand.

The reception can include special activities for children as well. A table at child's height filled with small toys and treats should keep them occupied for hours. The dollar store is a good place to collect a few toys. Stuffed toys in the bridal party colors tied with a ribbon and perhaps a few silk flowers is a favor the children will treasure. Consider taking a group photo of all the children with the bride and groom. It's a lovely keepsake for the bridal couple and each child's parent can receive a copy as well.

Older children and preteens can participate in the wedding festivities at the ceremony and at the reception with special tasks. Perhaps they can help serve the cake after it's cut. One child could ask people to sign the guest book. Children can hand out wedding favors as the guest leave. If you plan on throwing bird seed or rose petals as the bridal couple leave the children can hand out the packages. Give each older child or preteen a disposable camera with flash and tell them to take pictures. You will be amazed at the photos.

Keep the children occupied with cheap wedding fun ideas and everyone will have a happy time.

Is Sexy Bridal Lingerie Possible?

By Amanda Cotterill

Sexy bridal lingerie may seem to be an unattainable goal. Traditionally, brides have chosen demure pieces that reflect the innocence and purity of the wedding gown. Brides must also take into consideration the weight and bulk of the dress, selecting a bridal lingerie set that will hold up the dress. However, there are now numerous sexy bridal lingerie items that blend these considerations with sexy designs.

Types of Sexy Bridal Lingerie

It is possible to find sexy lingerie that is specifically designed for the unique needs of the bride. Whether your taste runs to the softly elegant or the bad-girl erotic, you are sure to find pieces that work for you.

There are bridal versions of nearly every type of lingerie. To provide the support necessary to carry a heavy dress, consider purchasing a bridal bustier. The solid construction of the bustier will add support while softly defining your body. Pair it with a pair of the highest quality stockings and a sexy garter belt. Add a bridal thong or other sexy panties for a complete set. While the traditional bridal colour is white, increasing numbers of brides are choosing black instead. Most gowns are heavy enough that the colour does not show through, and knowing that the black lingerie is underneath the innocent gown can be exciting for both the bride and groom.

If you wish to be a bit more daring, consider a bridal corset. The corset will shape your body dramatically, enhancing your curves while trimming your waist. Keep in mind, however, that the corset may become uncomfortable throughout the day, so lace it fairly loosely to provide plenty of breathing room.

Non-bridal versions of your favourite sexy lingerie styles may also work. However, bridal sets are normally designed to maximum both elegance and functionality underneath a gown that is typically much heavier than the average dress.

Choosing the Right Bridal Lingerie

Before committing to a specific piece of sexy bridal lingerie, try it on with your wedding gown. Certain styles will work better underneath specific gowns. This is also the time to look critically at the full effect and decide whether to add an additional item such as a girdle to your bridal undergarments.

Although both style and functionality are important, it is also crucial that your bridal lingerie be comfortable. Remember that you will be on your feet for many hours, dancing, eating and performing numerous activities. Sexy bridal lingerie should make you feel beautiful, not uncomfortable.

Putting It All Together

Sexy bridal lingerie can dramatically enhance how you look and feel on your wedding day. From wildly erotic to sweet and pure, choose the design that makes you most comfortable. Today's bridal lingerie is structured enough to support a wedding gown without sacrificing beauty or sex appeal. Take the time to shop carefully and find the best items for you.

Choosing sexy lingerie for the most important day of your life takes time and any wrong decisions can be costly, choose something which will compliment your dress.

Amana Appliances | A Perfect Wedding Anniversary Gift

By Raul Crasmin

Want to buy a new refrigerator? Puzzled which to buy? Obviously we get puzzled to choose one with so many models in the market. Let me help you out.

Start with the basics. Make up your mind to choose the color of the refrigerator, the model and above all how much space you need so that it fits comfortably. It should be kept in such a place that it should have enough space for air circulation and proper electrical fittings. This information can be easily available on the famous website of the Toronto appliances. Just log on to this website and you can check out with numerous models attached with the price tag that are displayed on the screen. My personal choice is Amana refrigerator. Its service works wonders. This is my personal experience since I have been using it since years without any problems.

Once we all happen to gather in my house to celebrate New Year. My Amana refrigerator was giving me wonderful service as I also mentioned it before. My friends really got impressed by its features and the interior design. One of my colleagues liked it so much that he decided to gift one to his daughter for her wedding anniversary which happened to be round the corner of the week. Since he was too busy to go to any shopping mall to buy one, he was wondering as to how to buy this refrigerator. He asked my help and told me whether I can place an order for him. I told him that he can also place an order himself without going anywhere out of his house. I told him about this site and he was immediate in action as he did not want to waste any more of his time. Within few minutes he was happily surfing with the Toronto appliances. He right away opted to go in for an Amana refrigerator without a single thought. He placed an order with them and settled in peace of mind. I even told him that they ship the orders to the respective destinations without any hassles and are on time in delivering the goods.

His daughter was surprised to get a new refrigerator in her house, as she was planning to go for a new one but was only waiting for an occasion to arrive. Now she was relieved from her old refrigerator with a new one which she had been using since 8 years. She always wanted a new refrigerator with new technology to replace her old one. It was a perfect gift for her to get from her father. She was very delighted and seeing his daughter so happy with her new refrigerator my colleague was very much thankful to me to advice him to gift this refrigerator to her as he was not able to make up his mind to what to present his daughter for her wedding anniversary. The refrigerator was directly shipped to his daughter’s house on the day of her wedding anniversary only.

Wedding Hair And Bridal Makeup Secrets

By Noori Daili

WEDDING HAIR STYLES- THE MOVIE

Wedding Hair in Santa Monica|90405|Marina Del Rey|Malibu|Los Angeles|California. Is your wedding starting to make you feel like a Hollywood Movie Producer? Even the selection of your wedding hair styles for you and the bridal party is feeling like a movie set in Fantasyland. You are already overwhelmed. You need help with your wedding hair.

Relax; I'm here to ease your stress and to take a big load off of your shoulders. I've helped brides and their bridal parties in my salon for so long I am in permanent wedding hair and bridal makeup mode.

I'm going to tell you how to insure that you have alluring, envied bridal hair so it is complimented by, but not overshadowed, by the wedding hair accessories and bridal hair styles of the bridesmaids.

Finally I will give you some wedding hair secret inside information about which other salons wished I kept my mouth shut.

WEDDING HAIR STYLES- WHAT'S THE FIRST STEP?

The first step is wedding hair and bridal makeup plans should ideally be formulated at least 3-4 months before the event. Have your hair stylist show you some pictures of their work on brides or of special event hair styles. Bring the wedding hair pictures displaying the styles you like the best.

Pictures of wedding hair styles are one of the best ways to avoid bridal hair disasters. Pictures will help eliminate misunderstandings between you and your hair stylist.

Be practical. Try a style that is comfortable for dancing and moving around. Consider the wedding location’s climate (humid, dry, wet, cold, too hot). Make a selection from wedding hair styles that will match with the style of your dress. Keep your desired bridal hair styles in mind when picking out accessories.

WEDDING HAIR ACCESSORIES AND BRIDAL MAKE UP

Select simple Wedding Hair Accessories that will not overpower your wedding hair like hair ornaments and headpieces. If you plan to wear a more elaborate headpiece, your wedding hair should be simple. Bridal Tiaras can be very flattering.

Very simple jewelry will do for the bridesmaids. Stick with earrings, bracelets, or rings, but avoid necklaces.
The entire bridal party should have one theme for the wedding hair styles and bridal make-up. However the bridal party could all have different hair lengths, color and texture of hair.

Your bridal make-up should emphasize the eyes, lips, and skin-tone as these parts should be camera friendly at all times. Remember the bride has the leading role in this production. The bridesmaids are the supporting players who are there to make the star look good.

TYPES OF WEDDING HAIR

It is not a bad idea to have an up-do, if your dress covers all the way to the neck. Don’t be afraid of a short hair style especially if you are petite. Short hair can be one of the more sexy wedding hair types.

It is usually better to not to request a classic hair do with a contemporary wedding dress. If you have your heart set on one of the classic styles of wedding hair, then it should be a casual one.

For a modern or classic Victorian style, one of the beach wedding hair styles is better when it is a basic chignon or down hair style with simple, loose curls. Soft curls give you a very romantic look. This goes for the bridesmaids as well. It is better that they all follow the same pattern.

The bridal party should wear the same color and style of dress as well as a similar hairstyle. For example, either all the bridesmaids should wear flowers in their hair or no one should at all.

WEDDING HAIR TRYOUT SERVICE

The best way to check the look of all the wedding hair styles in your bridal party is to have your entire bridal party make a visit to a salon for a wedding hair tryout.

The best salons are confident you will be satisfied with their work. Therefore they typically offer a tremendous discount for the tryout. The staff will work hard so that you will book your wedding party with them. When you do book, expect to be presented with a wedding hair contract.

WEDDING HAIR CONTRACTS

Make sure to read your contract carefully before signing. Read every word and make sure to ask questions if you don’t understand something. If you are uncomfortable with the wording, it is fair to ask that the contract be changed.

Don’t just gloss over the details of the contract. It should include important information such as the date of your wedding, the types of wedding hair and bridal make up services to be rendered.

Many salons will ask for a deposit to hold the appointment in advance. Some contracts will state that deposits are nonrefundable.

If your wedding hair contract has such a clause determine if there is a grace period. Pay a percentage of the service and not the whole price. Also make payment with a credit card. Should there be a problem or dispute, you will have a better chance of getting your money back.

HERE COMES THE BRIDE!

You've found your husband. You are congratulated.

In this article I gave you great tips that will help perfect your wedding hair styles and bridal make up. I’ve also given you some inside information that other salon owners don’t want you to know regarding services and contracts.

You ARE the Executive Producer and Star of your wedding. You've got plenty to do. Wedding Photography Tips From A Nantucket Photographer

By Mark Pommett

As someone who grew up as a Nantucket photographer, I've been asked numerous times for wedding photography tips, here are a few suggestions.

Create A List Of Shots.

Request or suggest to the couple to provide you with a list of shots they would like for their wedding. This makes things easy to remember and you can check them off as you click away. very helpful for family and group shots. It would be a real bummer to find out when you get the photos back that you missed Uncle Joe.

Use An Assistant.

Shooting the family portraits can be frustrating when you have people missing and they are not organized. People are just having too much fun and are wondering about - not really thinking about photography. I recommend to bring an assistant (preferably female) to nominate a family member to gather everyone for the portraits. They can round everyone up and make the shoot go so much faster so everyone can go back to celebrating.

Stay Prepared.

So much can go wrong on the day - so you need to be well prepared. Have a backup plan (in case of bad weather), have batteries charged, memory cards blank, think about routes and time to get to places and get an itinerary of the full day so you know what's happening next. If you can, attend the rehearsal of the ceremony where you'll gather a lot of great information about possible positions to shoot from, the lighting, the order of the ceremony etc.

Discuss Expectations.

With Your Bride. Show them your albums and samples of your work. Find out the style they want to achieve, how many pictures, key moments they want photographed, format of the shots ( digital, film), and more. Make sure to go over the price so they know exactly what they are paying for.

Minimize Your Camera Noise.

Camera clicks and beeps during the vows and toasts can be distracting. Switch off sound before hand and keep it off.

Shoot With Two Cameras.

It's too easy for one camera to go down during a shoot leaving stranded with out anyways to finish your work and destroying your reputation. Buy, borrow, or rent an extra camera for the day and set it up with a different lens. I try to shoot with one wide angle lens for candid shots and tight spaces and one longer lens (it can be handy to have something as large as 200mm if you can get your hands on one - I use a 70-200mm).

Capture The Details.

Take pictures of the rings, details in the dress, eyes, lips, table settings, interior etc - these help give the end album an extra dimension. Pick up a wedding magazine at your local news stand for a little inspiration.

Bring A Second Shooter.

Having a second backup photographer can greatly facilitate the day and improve your coverage. It means less running around during ceremony and speeches, and allows for your or your second to capture the formal shots while the other covers something else. Most importantly, it takes a little pressure off you being 'the one' to have to get every shot!

Don't Be Shy.

Being shy won't get you 'the shot'. Sometimes you need to step to the front of the line to capture a moment. However, timing is everything and planning ahead to get in the right spot for key moments are important so you don't disrupt the event. During the ceremony I try to move around at least 4-5 times but try to time this to coincide with songs, prayers or longer readings. During the portrait session take charge, know what you want, and ask for it from the couple.

How to Choose the Most Beautiful Bridal Jewelry to Best Suit Your Wedding Theme

by Belinda Stinson

When you are wedding planning you want everything to go perfectly and you suddenly realize there is just so much to do, so much to figure out and to choose from. The simple place to start with the look and feel of the wedding is to first choose the color themes. From here you can more easily focus on the bridal gown and bridesmaids dresses with their designs and styles.

The wedding jewelry is next as you can match the style of the bridal jewelry set designs to the bridal party dress styles. There are a range of jewelry styles so you need to have a look at what you like and what works best for your wedding theme. So to help you decide here is an overview of a range of jewelry:

Pearl Jewelry

Pearl bridal jewelry is such a popular choice because pearl jewelry is timeless and so elegant. Pearl necklaces and earrings designs range from the traditional through to very contemporary styles with everything in between. Pearls make a wonderful present for the bridesmaids and can be passed through the family over the generations.

Bridal pearl jewelry can be in a variety of colors including white, pink and black (or more of a rainbow effect) for the natural pearl colors through to the dyed pearl colors of greens through to browns.

Costume Bridal Jewelry

Bridal costume jewelry is a fashionable choice with the broad range of choices in colors and styles so you can easily find what you want for your special event. There is a vast array of costume earrings, necklaces, and bracelets that will work for your wedding theme. Swarovski crystal bridal jewelry is a lovely choice for costume wedding jewelry with its range of colors and quality.

You can also have treasured handmade bridal jewelry with costume jewelry designs that is also affordable and is beautiful.

Beaded Bridal Jewelry

Bridal handcrafted jewelry makes a unique statement of style. With beaded jewelry you have your choice of colors and styles so it can beautifully coordinate with your wedding theme colors.

The beaded designs can include the handmade lampwork glass beaded jewelry with freshwater pearls and crystals as well as simple statements of a floating effect of just one type of bead. You can often have custom jewelry made by jewelry designers so the brides jewelry is fancier than the bridesmaids jewelry.

Often one of the benefits of beaded jewelry is it makes for inexpensive bridal jewelry that helps with your wedding planning.

Diamond Bridal Jewelry

Diamond and gold jewelry is a traditional wedding jewelry choice, especially for the bride as it matches diamond engagement rings. Often family diamond jewelry is worn as part of the "something old" tradition. This can include gem stone jewelry, such as sapphire jewelry, emerald jewelry and ruby jewelry, especially as gemstones are often set with diamonds.

Combinations like the bridal jewelry necklace being a family heirloom with a new pair of diamond earrings can work beautifully. So sharing the joy of the wedding jewelry through out the family is an enjoyable experience that brings the love stories over the generations together.

Making Your Choice

With the diverse choice of jewelry styles available it is so much easier to get the wedding jewelry that is perfect. To make the choice that much easier make sure you have figured out the look and theme for the wedding, the styles of the bridal party gowns and, of course, your budget. Researching the different jewelry styles and designs can be loads of fun and very inspiring. By refining what you need and defining you want you are sure to find the beautiful bridal jewelry you are after!

Wedding Jewelry Tips

by Fashion Jewelry

A young girl spends several years of her life dreaming of her wedding day. Especially, how she would look as a bride and in this, she wants no compromise. Of course, the most important aspect is her wedding dress. It must be chosen with a lot of care. But this dress will look its best only when complimented by the proper choice of wedding jewelry. Choose your wedding jewelry with utmost care. Here we have a lot of information which is going to help you to make your choices and look your very best.

Your jewelry can help set the mood for your wedding and enhance the overall look and feel of your gown. Think and plan about whether modern jewelry, vintage jewelry, or classic jewelry styles will work best with your wedding dress. Then consider the various elements of your wedding and then decide if the pieces you like will evoke the mood or look you want to create for your wedding.

First of all set the mood of your wedding. The style of your wedding can help narrow down your bridal jewelry choices. Important things to consider are whether you want a daytime ceremony or in the night. Do you wish to make it a grand affair or keep it limited to a small intimate gathering? Here are some popular options for different types of weddings along with the dress codes and jewelry ideas best suited to the occasion.

Beads can be strung together in any number of combinations to create different objects. Most of the times we create ornamental items like bracelets, earrings, and so on. Accomplished beaders are known to create highly complex bead items like multi-strand necklaces and complete ornament sets.

Glamorous weddings: With this you could get away with bolder, and perhaps glitzier, wedding jewelry and accessories at large, black-tie and the same would suit for night-time weddings.

Simple, elegant weddings: here a romantic lacy dress, simple jewelry styles and vintage jewelry pieces could work for you. Heart lockets or brooches can also help you create an antique feel. To create an elegant, timeless affair, look toward classic jewelry pieces such as strands of pearls and diamond earrings and create memories to last a lifetime.

Laid-back beach weddings: To keep the atmosphere light-hearted and full of fun, wear simple yet bright jewelry. A simple strand of pearls and some flowers in your hair can set the tone for an early afternoon ceremony on the beach.

Cultural weddings: In this case there may not be much to choose in terms of because different cultures have different traditions and customs that can guide your jewelry choices. For example, Irish brides may choose to wear a piece of jewelry featuring a Celtic knot or Claddaugh design. Similarly, Asian brides commonly wear jade, a symbol of good luck, health, and prosperity. Remember, your bridal jewelry can also compliment your wedding's color theme. For example, simple and understated bridal jewelry can offset bright, vibrant flowers, candles, and linens. On the other hand, an emerald necklace or ruby drop earrings can provide attractive contrast to single hues and neutral colors.

Compliment your gown with bridal jewelry

A pure white dress looks wonderful with primary color choices. If you plan to don white on the big day and feel like wearing blue sapphires or red rubies, you can surely do so. If you choose a simple dress, then big, bold jewelry, even colored gemstones, could look fabulous. When you select the type and length of your necklace and earrings, make sure they look good with the neckline of your dress.

With these tips in mind you can plan the dream wedding the memories of which you will cherish forever.

Your Wedding Is Like Your Very Own Photo Shoot

By Mark Pommett

You’re the star of your wedding day, and with that comes an entourage of photographers and videographers bending backwards to get that killer shot. Now that you’ve hired them, your wedding day photo sessions should make you feel like you’ve just walked the red carpet. Here’s how to get ready for your close-up, and look glamorous on film and video.

Finding The Right Shooter …

Many couples consider their photographer and videographer among the most important vendors – it’s no surprise the wedding details are preserved in your leather bound photo album and wedding DVD. That’s not to say your wedding is forgettable, but for most brides it passes in a blur – it’s the job of your videographer and photographer to capture the most important events.

You should pick a pro whose style best reflects the look your going for. If you see a lot of photos in the sample albums with shadows under the nose or eyes, run for the hills – the expectation will be less than professional. If you love the way a photographer uses soft light to create a romantic look, you can expect the same sort of quality in your own shots.

The best time to begin looking for your photographer and videographer is as soon as you’ve picked your wedding date and location. Like most other vendors, the best are often booked months in advance. Here are a few tips to find your perfect pro:

• Take a peek at the photographer and videographer’s website for samples and galleries of their work.

• One you’ve chosen a photographer, ask if he/she can recommend a video professional they’ve worked with.

• Alternatively, you can work with a studio that offers both photography and video. The benefit - you’re guaranteed your photo and video team will be familiar with each other’s styles, and will work together to give you the best coverage.

• Agencies representing photographers will match you with a professional suited to the style you want for your wedding. This makes finding your photographer easy. The only downside is you may be left with less one-on-one time beforehand with the person who’s actually shooting your wedding.

Important Questions …

Once you’ve filtered down your list to a few potential photographers and videographers ask them some essential questions to more about their approach.

• What is the cost of services and what is included in the package?
• What type of equipment do you use?
• If your shooting film, can I purchase the negatives?
• Do you offer raw video footage?
• What types of guarantees and protection do you offer in the event you become sick?
• What are your techniques to get the most out of the subject?

It is also advisable to ask a few more open-ended questions. You’ll get a glimpse into his work philosophy for each wedding, and you’ll be able to gauge how passionate he is about his craft. Several great questions include:

• What inspired you to get into a career of photography/videography?
• What do you like most about your job?
• Is there a particular shot you love to take at every wedding?
• Has your style changed since you began in the wedding photo/video industry?

Timeline Of A Wedding …

Another important wedding detail you don’t want to miss is how many hours your photo and video team will spend shooting. Plan ahead and make sure they know your schedule before the wedding. Getting-ready shots are often the most intimate and revealing and proper planning will prevent a headache.

Consider capturing some of those movements you normally don’t witness on the wedding day. If you plan on having two cameramen (highly recommended better coverage), work with them to make a list of your most anticipated moments. For example, a montage of you and your bridesmaids getting prepared, then edited with shots of your groom and his guys before the ceremony is a true classic. You’ll get to see how well (or not so well) he handled his nerves. Other important and touching moments you might potentially miss (unless they’re captured on film) are your parent’s reactions during your vows, the smiles and laughter during your toast, and your own expressions as you make your grand entrance.

Here are five more glamorous shots worth adding to your album:

• Touching up your lipstick in a mirror before the ceremony.
• Making your grand exit from the ceremony to a cheering crowd of guests.
• Taking a smiling peek back to the camera as you walk away holding hands with your husband.
• Kissing under a golden sunset.
• Kissing in the backseat of your limousine as you depart the reception.

Striking A Pose …

If your concerned that you sometimes do no good to the camera, don’t stress – after having your hair and makeup done, you’ll look and feel great. Stay tuned for part 2 as we talk about:

• Getting a perfect album. Tips for a well-balanced photo book.
• Studying your favorite photos.
• Ignoring the camera and getting comfortable with your shooter.
• Film or digital photography.
• Ready for HD Video.

Registering For A Great Honey Moon

By James Gunaseelan

So many people register for baby showers and weddings, that the concept of a honey moon registry seems only but logical. This is because wedding costs are rising and many couples often have to sacrifice their own honey moon in favor of other wedding ‘necessities’. The honey moon registry idea is perfect for couples who have careers and their own separate places and therefore have all the basic stuff one would need to start living together. If they are practical enough to think that he has silverware and she has silverware; why register for another set, then they can opt for a honey moon registry instead.

This way their friends and family can buy gift certificates in any amount they choose which will go towards their trip. There are several companies and websites such as the Wedding Channel that offer such registries. However terms and conditions vary; therefore be careful in reading the fine print as service charges may apply and certificates may expire should you choose not to honey moon immediately.

After selecting which honey moon registry appeals to you the most, ask your maid of honor or best man to spread the word in the shower invites or choose the email option where the registry service sends the announcement on your behalf. This way you’ll be helping friends and family who are stumped as to what to get you and it will prevent you from getting yet another toaster or place setting. Many times close friends and relatives want to give the couple something meaningful and something they are sure to use. With a honey moon registry they can be sure that their money was well spent and appreciated. You could send a picture of you and your spouse on the trip as a thank you note instead of the traditional cards.

This new registry business has branched out in to the seas as well and you can even register for honey moon cruise registry if you so wish. Honeymoon Voyages and other such companies can make it very easy for you to set up a registry and gift givers can purchase certificates in increments of $50 or $100.

However, honey moon cruises also have their pros and cons. While you only have to unpack once and cruises are usually all-inclusive, they might not provide you with as much privacy as you would like. If you want time alone with your spouse, you would want to choose a balcony cabin so that you don’t feel cramped in an inside cabin. Some cruises have the option for you to dine alone, but many don’t. So find out all the details before signing on with a cruise for your honey moon.
